Magnetic Poetry
My love for magnetic poetry has never waned. Perhaps it is because I have a pedestrian refrigerator (read apartment), and definitely because love language. Words are amazing. Not in the same way as dinosaurs, though.
A helpful thing to remember when working with magnetic poetry…it’s magnetic. Which is great for refrigerators, not so much on a non-metallic surface, meaning it sticks to itself. I used two of the boxed ‘themes’ for my design, the classic and the um, romantic. I emptied the little white tiles onto a black mouse pad, gave them a stir and let the magic happen.
Right on top were “language”, “joy”, and “essential”. Exactly as I view words. Language is essential. Hard stop. But it also gives us joy in all the trillions and trillions and trillions of word combinations.
The design needed to be centered around this theme. I really, honestly probably had 100+ iterations. Factors included:
I almost gave up more than once. Then one day, the magic happened. This is the result.
I guess you are wondering – Why?

intended to use the image as my landing page. Unfortunately, testers didn’t get my vision. It appeared to be a generic picture that was ripped off the internet and not the magical, original masterpiece I created. So. It was great fun to play with words and now I have a unique, personal picture in time.
