IBM Enterprise Design Thinking

Project for local Raleigh nonprofit Neighbor To Neighbor

Taught by six top designers at IBM*, this semester-long project utilized Enterprise Design Thinking to find solutions for the Raleigh based non-profit Neighbor To Neighbor

I was responsible for:

  • interviewing several stakeholders
  • performing onsite observations
  • managing team content for presentation consistency
  • designing both Playback slide decks

The initial client request was to increase space on the campus. Through the information the team gathered, we discovered that the main pain point was primarily administrative and not space related. After we presented the first Playback to the client at the Research Triangle Park IBM Design Studio, it was clear that time constraints would prevent finding solutions for the administrative problems—so the team pivoted back to the initial space request.

Fortunately, much of the data we initially discovered fit into the pivot back to expansion and redesign of existing space.  Subsequently, another setback the team encountered was the onset of the pandemic. N2N immediately dispatched all the students (and staff) back to their homes. The final playback was presented virtually.
